Subject: [ferrethealth] ferrets don't have an appendix??

i just read that ferrets don't have an appendix. if this is true..it
was always my understanding that the appendix was what enabled animals
to eat raw meat without getting ill from it..so what does the ferret
have as a defense system when eating raw meat??thanks..donna
