It's quite possible to pass thin, mucousy stools with an obstruction. Best
thing is to get to the vet ASAP for X-rays and a barrium swallow (if your
vet can do it). That will be the best way to tell if there is something
blocking him up. You don't want to take chances with a possible
obstruction.
