Having had part a day in grande mal seizures myself (as part of an allergic reaction to
anesthesia that we now know how to treat for before, during and after till the meds are
out of my system) I can tell you that things simply don't register during such a large
seizure. That is because the seizure itself involves too much of the brain firing; it just
becomes a disconnected jumble, too disconnected for anything to register. That is how
the neurologists explained it to me.

Paraphrasing a neurologist who was asked in a lecture if it was true that humans only use
a bit of their brains at a time, "You wouldn't want more to be active; that's what we call a
seizure."

>From my experience, the time during a grande mal seizure is out of control, out of mind,
out of connection, out of memory; it's lost.
