Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Advice needed: Paw rash

Hi again!

All my ferrets have been vaccinated against distemper every year.
This year we had a new vaccine Febrivac dist, they were vaccinated 2,5
months ago.

Earmites we did have, but all of them got treated(virbac(?) eardrops
against mites) 2,5 months ago and after that the samples have been
clean. But still I gave then a stronghold 3 weeks ago, just to be sure.

Both rash patients are very active, playfull and have gained winter
weight nicely.

Wouldn't the scabies mites be seen in the biopsy?
How are they treated? I haven't heared of a single case in finland.

Thanks for the advices, keep them coming, I'll keep you posted. :)
