Subject: [ferrethealth] Pred = swollen lymph nodes?

I have a 1.5 yr old female on prednisolone (0.4cc BID of the 1mg/mL
soln) for potential IBS. It was never confirmed by biopsy, but upon
starting pred and a diet switch, her stool became normal (it was VERY
seedy prior, and she has lost weight). I have noticed in the last
couple weeks that her lymph nodes are bigger. In her neck, her arm
pits, and under her hind legs. They are not hard at all, actually
quite squishy, but you can definitely feel the lymph node within the
fat deposits. She is not painful. She is still active, has a great
appetite, normal stool, she is great. Can pred cause an enlargement of
the lymph nodes? Should I be concerned? I am aslo beginning to wean
her off the pred since I have made a complete diet change for her, and
I want to see if that is enough to control the potential IBS (I got
rid of all the chicken in her diet). Is that a bad idea?

Thank you, Amanda and Izzy
