Subject: [ferrethealth] Smell after de-sexing
Hello,
I'm just acquired a new male ferret, a rescue who is about 2 years
old. He's not long been de-sexed, probably in the past month. He
stinks! I've had a male ferret before, but not for a while...but I
don't think I'm this forgetful. I read somewhere that the really
strong odour hangs around for about a month even after neutering. Is
this true? We're in breeding season here now, so not sure if remnant
hormones after the neutering could also play a part?
Thanks,
Natalie
