Jessica, one of my boys used to react to all the vaccines. We
pretreated and it did no good. He continuously delayed onset of the
reaction until his last one was almost 2 hours post-vaccine. I never
had him get another one.
Initially we waited for 30 minutes at the vets, then an hour. Each
time, he started to react later. We finally waited an hour and a half
- just to make sure. I then headed home, with a stop on the way. There
was a reaction as I pulled into the stop and I turned around and
headed back to the vet.
He probably has a little nausea from the events of the day. The
grinding of his teeth is what they usually do when in pain. But, I
have noticed that mine would do it when he felt bad, too. If it
continues, you may want to ask your vet about something to make him
feel better.
