Like other nutrients, the matter of chromium is a matter of
HOW MUCH. Ferrets DO need some in their diets which is
why it is there.
What becomes a problem with chromium is when it is
FURTHER SUPPLEMENTED in ferrets who ALREADY have
insulinoma because the extra chromium will further lower
blood glucose. That is also why is is useful for ferrets with
diabetes.
There is so far no reason to think that either chromium and the
Brewers Yeast which contains it pose any risk factor for
developing insulinoma.
