Is your ferret getting Prednisone or Prednisolone?

Should the liver function be at all compromised Prednisone will not give as much of a result
as Prednisolone.

That is because the liver has to convert Prednisone to Prednisolone before the body can
utilize it.

We've had some ferrets who do well on either, but have alternatively had a couple for whom
the Prednisone may as well have been water but the Prednisolone worked great.
