Subject: [ferrethealth] Prozac
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

We are going to start Sully on Prozac. Walmart carries the generic
under their $4.00 umbrella so cost will be minimal. Our vet suggested
we try mixing it with the pina colada mix from the grocery store.

Sully is a leg breaker, literally. Last year he broke Simba's and
Twitch's leg. I keep the victims I know about beyond his reach but
when he is out I have to monitor him constantly because he can zoom in
on someone that he never bothered before in an instant. Sully wasn't
always like this, he became agitated when the rainbow exotics and our
denmark joined our family, then highly agitated when our denmark,
Dante, came into season before he was neutered. I hoped Sully would
settle down after Dante was neutered but he became more obsessed with
harming some of the others.

And his bad behavior has followers. We now have two rival gangs and
some independents too. It's a ferret mafia in our home and I've had
enough of it.

Would those that have tried Prozac with an aggressive ferret please
relate your experience so I could get an idea of how Sully might react?

Thanks. tle
