Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] My ferret started drooling bad n went limp.... HELP ME PLEASE

There are others on this list who are probably better
at giving advice in this situation, but it sounds to
me like your ferret probably has insulinoma. It is
very important to get to the vet as quickly as
possible. In the meantime, put a tiny bit of honey or
Karo syrup on his gums - this should stop the
symptoms. It is very important to follow up with a
high protein food like Hills A/D. You will need to
get to the vet to confirm the diagnosis and if it is
insulinoma you'll need medicine to manage the disease.

Michelle - NOT an expert by any means, but I have been
dealing with insulinoma for over a year in my little
boy Bear
