Subject: [ferrethealth] Later stages of Insulinoma
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
My 6 yr old male has had 2 Insulinoma surgery's, last one was 2 yrs
ago. He has lost almost all use of his back legs so he needs numerous
baths per day. He has developed a type of diaper rash that is almost
bloody red. I want to know if this sounds normal. I thought maybe it
was from him not being able to clean himself up very well after he goes
to the bathroom. So I try to bathe him as often as possible (no soap,
just water most times) and I put desinex and corn starch to keep him
dry. It isnt getting better and I know he is in pain because his
forehead is wrinkled from scowling. Is there any suggestions for what
is wrong or what I can do for him. He isnt eating anything different,
he just seems to have a problem going to the bathroom more and more.
Will he eventually lose all of his muscle function ?
Thanks so much
Gina
[Later message added so all in one place:]
Update on Bob's condition; He has started breathing heavy and grinding
his teeth. He is in a lot of pain. Is it true that his organs will start
shutting down and he wont be able to go to the bathroom ? Today is the
first day he wont eat his soup.
