With a spay appointment just about a week away, I wouldn't worry. I'm assuming she is not being kept with whole males? If she is, you may want to separate her temporarily until she recovers from the spay - less stress for her and the boys. Sounds like it just started, she is not going to be anemic from being in heat for two weeks. I really don't think there is any need to do anything now since the surgery date is so close. :-)

Maryanne does have a spay appointment for Nov. 6th, but
she's really unhappy about being isolated, so I'm tempted to try this to bring her out of
heat sooner. It does make me a bit nervous, but I suppose if I give shots and massage anal
glands I can do this too. Any recommendations?
