**True enough for spayed ferrets. I have seen a number of intact females
with a mild vaginitis following a heat cycle that have responded very well to
gentle cleansing twice daily with a 50% white vinegar solution for a day or two.
If the vaginitis persists for more than two days, it likely will need
antibiotics, in my experience. And of course, a spayed female with vaginitis almost
always has an underlying problem, like Sukie states.**
