Subject: [ferrethealth] ferret with enlarged abdomen

Hi everyone, I'm new to this group. I have a medical concern. My 5
year old female ferret has recently developed an enlarged abdomen but
is acting healthy. It happened kind of quickly I think over a couple
of weeks. Its not fat for the winter she has hardly any fat on her. I
need more information on what to look for, how to tell if its an
enlarged spleen. Where I live it is a little difficult to find a vet
that knows what they are doing with ferrets. Can anyone give me any
advice about what to look for in her, where to look for info, or what
to do next? Other then enlarged spleen what could this be? Thanks
everyone.
