It has been my experience that there are times that humans, vets included, don't like to admit they have no idea what happened. I am aware of absolutely no reason that giving Lupron, or letting it 'wear off' should cause kidney failure, pain, and/or death. It's possible that there was multiple organ failure for some reason unrelated to the adrenal problem; you certainly didn't do anything to kill him.
