Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Question about Lymphoma
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

A clarification:

The things I found did NOT call lymphomas reactive but do speak of non-lymphoma
reactive lymphadenopahies, and I wonder at your use of "lymphoma" since you say it "wasn't
caused by cancer". Lymphoma IS a "cancer". Do you mean to use the word "lymphoma"? If
the nodes are reactive and there is not a malignancy then that usually means a serious
infection is occurring.

There is, of course, a form of lymphoma which itself appears to happen in response to a
viral infection several years before, so that is also a possible thing you might mean, but in
that case it would be a "cancer".

As you see, your post has an intrinsic self-contradiction, so much of the answer has to
come from finding which use of the words "lymphoma" and "cancer" is accurate in the case
of your question.
