Subject: [ferrethealth] Creating medication suspensions
Recently, one of my ferrets was prescribed Enalapril and Furosemide. I work for a vet, so I can fill my prescriptions at work. My question is, since dosages are so small, we need to make suspensions of these medications. Typically, VAL Syrup is used, but the pills don't seem to suspend well in that. I was also thinking of just using Ferretone. Or, are you using outside pharmacies to get your meds compounded??
Thanks
Christine
