Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Ear Infection
I'm not aware of an antibiotic being needed just because of the use of Tresaderm. You can also try a warm soap wash and thorough rinse of the inner ear and ask about a sulphur [mod: sulfa?] compound powder ( I can't remember the name or if I ever knew) to treat ear. This treatment was used on my GREAT DANE, not ferret, but worked to clear up infection.
One thing you said and really is the reason I'm replying.. You said urine was green. Was that only one time? Was it kinda green or REALLY bright, almost fluorescent?
What I'm concerned about is Heartworm... can you have him tested?
