After several years of dealing with one insulinoma-ridden ferret after
another, I've decided that the best treat is a piece of regular old ferret kibble
dipped in water or Ferretone. It dawned on me that ferrets crave bonding
with their humans even more than they crave sugar.
No sugar, no corn syrup, no garbage.......just ferret food, Ferretone or
Furotone, and love.
And BTW, ferrets are little poster children for an extreme form of the
Atkins diet, so no vegetables and absolutely minimal carbohydrates.
