That was very informative.
Another possibility to ask your vet about might be that she could not open her eyes due to
neural damage from the JL. We have had JL in the spinal cord of a ferret (as well as once
having had one with the "clumping" form of lymphoma in the spinal cord) and can attest that
it can cause neural damage, but I don't know if it can do the type which would cause what
you saw.
