Hi Wendy,
I use Revolution once a month to control the ear mites in the ferrets. I like/prefer to use Heartguard plus for the HW and Advantage or Frontline for fleas, BUT I had such a bad ear mite problem with the ferrets that I had to start using the Revolution to control them.
ALSO, right now I have a 2-4yo Mastiff who is heavily HW + and to keep from killing her while killing the worms She is on Inteceptor, another HW preventative.. and hook, whip, round worms also..
So as long as they are on Revolution I will also give them a HeartGuardPlus cube once every 3 or 4 months and If I see fleas I will use the Advantage or Frontline to ensure they stay gone.
I NEVER dip anymore and never use Advantix - it's poisonous to cats and so I'm sure it would kill my ferrets too.
Wicking is the phenomena of liquid traveling up or along a solid without the use of artificial stimulation, such as sucking on a straw. OR... take a paper napkin and place just the tip of a corner in a puddle of water. The water wicks up into the napkin without you pushing it further into the puddle.

Thank you Vicki
Yes your email has made a lot of sense.
So, what do you use for flea control if you dont just use Revolution? What is your program like?
Wicking? Didnt understand what this means.
I think half a little tube for each ferret was not strong enough as you have suggested.
Thanks for your email Vicki
Wendy
