Lupron DEPOT (not 24 Lupron) comes in different
strengths, so if one size does not work a larger one may.

Also, fur regrowth does not always happen rapidly but
that does not mean that the tumor is not being affected.
Heck, we have had ones who had successful surgery
sometimes take more than one shedding season before
regrowing fur.

On the other hand, regrowing fur from the use of
melatonin is not necessarily a sign of great effect on the
tumor because melatonin also has dermal effects. See the
FHL Archives or Pub Med for the abstract of that New
Zealand study which was done on ferrets and sheep.

When not doing surgery it is best to use Lupron Depot
and melatonin implants both when adrenal disease is
present.

When the growth is a malignancy or is unresponsive then
surgery is the best bet, esp. when the ferret is so very young.
