I'm interested to know where some of these ferrets are coming from- we are seeing alot of biting issues with one farm in particular. I know that Troy Lynn is dealing with ferrets that are not true "domestics" but polecat hybrids, which puts them in a totally different class of biting- these ferrets look at a clicker and giggle, then lunge for your throat:-) I'm only partially kidding- they don't care about training much- they are biters in the absolute sense of the word- they sink teeth in as often and as deep as they can, wherever they can- they don't scruff well-they can turn back in an instant, no matter how well you think you have them, and they are generally on the warpath for other ferrets that for some reason they have decided to hate- nothing much deters them from this goal. This is the reason for the use of meds with two of them- everthing else HAS been tried- they laugh in her face and ask her what else she has to offer for their viewing pleasure. Gerri

don't want to give him too many treats, so he still has no idea yet that the
clicker means a treat. The grabbing him on the fly by etc. I've done since I
got him (at 8 weeks), to show him that I'm still the one who decides what
happens.....
