Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Ferrets and acupuncture
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

The vet said it wouldn't hurt him, unless he has cancer somewhere.
He said acupuncture helps to increase blood flow, and if the have a
tumor somewhere, it wil feed the tumor. But as far as we know, Koda
dosen't have any cancer. He had an ultrasound in Oct to check to see
if anything had changed, and they checked his adrenal glands and
they were ok.
One of the issues we have right now is Koda's bladder. He can't
control his bladder and leaks all the time, plus his urine smells
really strong. It smells like his poop, like soup. I called the vet
a few weeks ago and told her he had a little thick pee and pus
coming out, so she called in some amoxi for me. It cleared up the
pus, but the smell is still strong. I'm calling tomorrow to try to
get him in for Tues. The vet said we should get a culture of his
urine. We are going out of state on Fri and I want to have him
checked before we go. They are going with me, so it's not like
someone else will be having to take care of him.
Thanks for all your input, hopefully we will start to see some
improvement soon.
