Subject: [ferrethealth] More advice needed for ferret unable to pee
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

So I asked advice on my ferret Crash who could not pee before. He was
diagnosed by the vet as having a UTI. Everyone told me it was most
likey not a UTI and you were right. He was doing good on the
antibiotics for a few days but got bad again today. He was unable to
pee for a while but was finally able to go.

So now we are looking at either stones or Adrenal, right? I have to
go back to the vet tomorrow who is no that knowledgeable on ferrets.
The Humane Society is paying for this visit. We have no $ and no
credit card so this is our one shot. We will be applying for care
credit to pay for the treatment costs of whatever the vet diagnoses.
I need advice on what to do. He has no other symptoms of adenal, like
hair loss. To diagnose stones could we go by the urine PH? (his urine
was tested before and there were traces of blood in it, but we didn't
get the PH) or would we need X-rays too (I read they were not always
reliable in diagnosing stones).

Should I just assume it's adrenal and just go for surgery?

We really have zero money and we just can't keep trying everything
untill something works. We are doing the best we can though.
