Subject: RE: [ferrethealth] OT: chips in pets and humans unsafe says article

As a ferret tech at Ferret Wise we started microchipping with AVID in
1998 through 2001 when we opted for ADV testing instead ( budgets would
allow one not both).

We literally chipped hundreds of ferrets and never got a report of any
problem related to them or the sites.
We did however get several ferrets through the shelter who had both benign
and malignancies at vaccination injection sites so in a real shelter world
I would say the microchip scare is just that as far as ferrets go.
