I had a ferret with a broken hip. :-( In his case, there wasn't much that could be done besides keeping him confined until it healed a bit. Mine got bored too, so I used to wrap him in a blanket and take him for walks outside in my arms. I put him in a small pen and kept him in the rooms with me so there was something to watch and I had to spend a lot of time with him talking and playing. He almost gave up a couple times, but then the walks really helped and he turned the corner and did wonderfully. I hope your Athos does well. A clean break is usually easier to heal than what mine had.
