One of our ferrets today had blood removed from the neck for three blood tests without any
anesthesia.

Shave.

Have one person scruff and also hold front legs downward over the corner of the examination
table. One or two other people prevent the rear end from squirming and drip a treat oil from
a bottle with a slow drip top just in front of the ferret. The vet pats the vein and pokes when
it is right.

Over the years we have had only a rare few who needed to have anesthesia for blood tests.
