HI Becky-
This sounds like vestibular disease which is a heavy duty inner ear
problem that can be caused by trauma to the head ( a fall, being shut in a
door, etc)
We have successfully treated ferrets in the past with this condition using
baytril.
It does take some time to clear and a regimine of 10 days dosing may or may
not clear it up. I would suspect that since the initial meds did not work
and the condition has returned the ferret may have built up resistance to
that drug.
Perhaps your vet will want to try Baytril?
I believe I already relayed this info to you in a direct email last week.
