Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Strange question about poof
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and input.

Contrary to what you may think, I do not support the notion of having
ferrets descented as a matter of course. However, there are
circumstances under which the procedure is warranted.

Please respect my ability to rationally come to a balanced and well
thought out decision after consultation with my trusted veterinarian.
He's had lots of experience doing this procedure and is a skilled
surgeon. He assured me the risks will be minimal and with antibiotics
and pain medication, she should recover quickly.

I am not insensitive to what she's been through, however, I cannot
easily dismiss what the effects of the poof were on the eyes of my
Alpha, who has her own health issues (i.e., EGE).

I will do what is best for my entire fuzzy family. My decision will be
an informed one.

Thank you kindly for your input and thoughts.

Tressie
