Sorry for the delay responding. Thanks for all of the ideas. I'll take them with me to the vet tomorrow. Elliot is up walking all over the house (not running) and pretty much acting like a normal ferret again. Whatever is wrong is definately responding to our treatment. He's still eating baby food, but out of a bowl now. No more of that syringe nonsense! And I'm pretty sure he's munching on his kibble too. At least the shelter shock seems to have been beaten. Now, on to finding the other problem. Wish me luck!
