Subject: [ferrethealth] Mouth Ulcer
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I'm wondering if there is any correlation between a vaccine reaction
and a mouth ulcer.
Albee had a severe reaction on Dec 3rd. He spent the night at the
vet's office and was released the following day.
Over the weekend I noticed he didn't seem to be eating as much as usual
(he's not a big eater to begin with). I separated him from the others
and found that he was eating less than 3 TBS of kibble that day.
Yesterday a friend and I were looking in his mouth (his teeth are not
in great shape) and found a red spot on the roof of his mouth.
We have an appointment on Saturday morning (trying to get him in
earlier) but I'm wondering if the mouth ulcer could in some way be
related to the vaccine reaction.
Albee's age is unknown (maybe 4 years old) as is his medical history.
Also is there anything I can do for him in the meantime until we get to
the vet? I'm giving him baby food (which he hates).
Thanks for your help!
Connie
