Subject: [ferrethealth] New ferrets won't eat....con't
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My new ferrets are just like new! The feeding of Gerber baby food did the
trick. I fed them every couple of hours and I finally got them up to 2 - 3
tsp at a time. Then I kept waking up last night to the sound of nibbling!
Yes, they were eating the 8 in 1 ferret food. What a great sound. They even
look different; in the good way. I think I will continue on with the Gerber
and regular food until I feel they are up to standard. Being out of the cage
is the best thing in the world for these little guys. I put a board across
my bedroom door and turn them loose in my room, where I have put their cage
with their personal items, I leave the cage door open for total freedom.

I can't thank you all enough for your input. It seems as if it was just the
stress of moving. I called the past owner again and she assured me they had
been eating fine and no previous health problems.

Again, thanks, and I love learning from you all.

Linda
