Subject: [ferrethealth] Hello!
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi! My name is Jessie, I am a new Furr Baby owner (along wiuth my fiance)
- we just "adopted" a 9 week old sable colored ferret from one of the local
pet shops (we had looked around for a close by shelter but were unable to
locate one). Anyway his name is boomer he is pretty big already (length
wise anyway) very social and playful loves all his toys etc.

I am however taking him to the emergency vet tonight due to the fact that I
have watched him over the last 24 hrs (the amt of time we have had him in
our family) sneeze quite a bit and wheeze.... should I be really concerned
about this? We love him and wont take him back to the shop for something
minor like acold or URI ...could it possibly be something more serious?

It would be nice to know if others had this type of an issue with pet shop
furr babies if so we will be more apt to look a LOT harder for an in home
breeder...

Thanks and once again Im happy to be a part of this list! :)

-Jess, Em, and "Boo"
