That is too bad about the baby food. There are other options. First,
if you are not concerned about chicken, you can try Uncle Jim's Duck
Soup (check it out at http://www.drsfostersmith.com) which is a powder you
can reconstitute. I used it once with a sick, not eating, ferret and
he loved it. It is chicken based though. Another thing you can try is
carnivore care (http://www.oxbowhay.com/link.sp?page=carnivore_care)
which is another type of powder you reconstitute with water. This one
contains "poultry meal" as an ingredient. Another things to be
suspicious about if chicken is a concern. Finally, and the option I
would consider, is that you can actually take the powdered stuff in
the Wysong Archetypal bag (there are chunks and a fine powder) and
reconstitute that with water. As for Archetypal being recalled...where
did you hear that? I order from the Wysong site directly and there is
no mention of a recall. The only thing they mention is a phase out of
Ferret Archetypal-1, in favor of selling only the plain Archetypal
diet (as they are essentially the same thing).
