My pushing 9 year old, Jersey, reacts to food changes in a horrible
way - he gets bad gas. One night I changed the Carnivore Care food
(ran out and started a new container) and he was so miserable that I
thought he would die. I wandered constantly and could not get comfy.
He was bloated and his belly looked distended. One of the vets on this
list looked at him for me and mentioned IBD, which I had of course
forgotten to tell her he has! I am very careful to not change his
food. He eats the a/d mixed with the carnivore care. He also munches
on the Turkey-Venison-Lamb mix from TF when he chooses to eat the
kibble. Interestingly, I make his gravy from Cornish game hens, and
this does not cause a problem with his GI tract.
I did not realize that Innova had so many options in terms of meat.
Will have to try them.
