Wendy - I would say watch him and see if it gets worse bu if you have any doubts goto a vet. My heart sank when I was told something was wrong with Boo but atleast it isn't life threatening and I can fix it. Also a good note it wasn't the water bottle that waas making him sick he just wasn't drinking or eating.... the pet shop had bowls of water but the kit i bought and setup for him the first night home came with a bottle (A cheap, leaky one) Ive since invested in a much better leak resistent one he seems to like and is eating with praise. Anyway I hope your furr baby gets better - keep me posted :)
Stephen - Wow 18? I'm amazed! My fiance are thinking adding one more over the next 3 to 5 months and a 3rd over the course of the year. Anyway we are from Phoenix AZ so yea if you have any suggestions... we would love to adopt a little girl whose a bit older and for our 3rd maybe a senior... I never realized that was what breeders did... we do infact have a marshall farms baby... :( ahh but I love him so :) <3 And I do own and have read Ferrets for Dummies as well as the Simple Guide to Ferrets by Bobbye Land (I actually read the latter of the 2 1st then decided it didn't go in detail enough and got the ferrets for dummies book :))
Rick - Good to know. I apprecitate that... I was just thinking "Wow thats strange the ratties never did that.... niether did the other pets that drink from bottles" haha... :)
Jasmine - Thanks for your response! What type of cage do you use? We have the kind with the plastic bottom and the ramp that goes up to the 2nd floor -thats where the food and h2o is kept otherwise its spilled everywhere. Anyway we tried to get the attaching bowls at petsmart today they wouldntt attach correctly... bummer!! Any suggesztions - I just want him to drink ha.
Hoping Everyone the Best!
Jess, Em, and Boo

The answers for the NON-health questions need to sent directly
to the posters, please, since the FHL is not a general list. They
will be rejected since we badly need to stay on topic to retain vet
membership.
Instead of the FHL for the the general questions (which should
not be sent to the FHL, please, in the future), the good one is the
Ferret Mailing List which is the oldest -- 20 years old -- continuous
general ferret list on the internet and which has about 2,500 members.
