Subject: [ferrethealth] Re:Checking glucose
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi Brea,
If you are just checking his glucose then only 1
drop of blood is needed. You can just simply trim
a toenail short (just barely into the quick) and easily
get a drop of blood for the glucose test. Then just put
a little powder on the nail to form a good blood clot.
This is quick and relatively pain free (ie no worse then
putting a needle thru the skin to get a blood sample).
Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM
