Hi Toni
Your first description of "stomach pain, teeth grinding,
dark tarry stools and weight loss" is classic for a stomach
ulcer. Milo needs Carafate about 10 to 15 minutes before feeding,
every time you feed him (4+ times a day) and before you give
him his pred for 2 to 4 weeks.
Your second description of "weakness, drunk walking, and being
cold and limp" is common with very low blood glucose. It is time to
increase the amount of Pediapred, and it should be giving 2 times
a day with food. Again after Carafate.
Time to feed him the baby food several times a day also.
Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM
