I have to disagree with one of Susann's comments as well.
Just want owners and vets to be aware and prepared - I know Purevax

While it is somewhat risky to vaccinate your ferret, NOT vaccinating them is NOT risk free. Risks of scratching or nipping someone exists and if it happens away from your home and without vaccination the consequences are harsher than if he was vaccinated.
The risk of distemper is not as great as I once thought, but a risk still exists. The virus is out there and it is deadly to ferrets.
What would be nice to know is how long vaccines really protect. Maybe someday.
