What meds is he on for insulinoma, and what are the current dosages? How many times a day does he get the meds? His dosages may need to be increased, so talk to your vet. Also, I found that dividing the daily dosage of Prednisolone into four administrations, 6 hours apart, helped more than giving it once or twice a day. You must also make sure that he eats regularly, at least 4 times a day. When Neo was getting bad with his insulinoma he got soup 6 times a day, 4 hours apart, and got his Pred 4 times a day. We avoided any seizures until the very end, when his meds were at maximum dosage and there was no more to do. That is when we knew it was time to help him to pass on.

For now, you should try putting him in your lap and feeding soup with a spoon or a wide-mouthed syringe without a needle on it. You can heat the soup SLIGHTLY in the microwave, maybe 10 seconds or so. If you do not know how to feed with a syringe, ask your vet to show you. You must feed slowly with a syringe to avoid him inhaling it rather than swallowing it. He may also need meds to address the adrenal problem.

Good luck,

Jeff
