Yes, understand. My vet said his titer was probably still quite high,
and her advice was to skip the vaccine next year.

But what's also frightening is that I am often exposed to dogs (and
other animals) in disaster situations and high-kill shelter rescues.
The animals' backgrounds are usually unknown, and many have not been
vetted when I get them. I can't risk letting my kids go without
vaccinations, even when the vaccines themselves present a risk.

Many thanks to all who replied - you all had some very helpful info
that I'll share with my vet.
