Hi, Ulrike. Bandit's abdomen appeared to be filled with one gigantic
tumor that just had arms/extensions everywhere-it would have been
difficult to tell if there were perhaps more than one tumor involved,
but it looked like one big one. My surgeon said it was the biggest
tumor she'd ever seen in a ferret. It was yellowish-brownish, and it
LOOKED malignant, if that makes sense... The whole thing was
extremeyl friable-there were really no resectable sections without
concern for postop bleeding to death.

He did not have a lot of fluid anywhere, however, and his preop
symptoms included extreme lethargy, diffculty getting around-trouble
in and out of the litterbox, etc. He just wasn't enjoying life much
anymore.

Hope this helps.

Best,

April
