Subject: [ferrethealth] Recalls: Nutro Max Cat Gourmet wet food in cans added

Notice in recent post that about 1% (one percent)
of pet foods are affected by the recalls, almost all
wet or soft foods. The rate of affected cats plus
dogs among those who have eaten the contaminated
foods is thought to be 0.03% (3 in every 10,000).
(Per work by a major animal hospital chain; see past
post)

I have not seen reports of any ferret foods listed nor
any ferrets sickened, but then again, too few people
have pathology work done, so things can wind up going
under the radar for awhile before they are noticed.

Hopefully, Yahoogroups is working again now.
