Two notes:

Have Butch checked for an adrenal growth by your vet, given the fur loss.

Ask your vet BEFORE you try a raw diet for two reasons:
1. an unbalanced diet is not good for the health and just meat is unbalanced
2. Butchie is already compromised and there are multiple bacteria, some parasites, and even
a virus which can be present in raw meat diets. See past posts and
http://www.fda.gov/cvm/Guidance/dguide122.pdf
For healthy ferrets some of the more common of those are no major problem if the ferret is
exposed, but for ferrets who are already ill that added burden may be a bit much.
