Subject: [ferrethealth] Soy infant formula in ferret's soup?
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>
My gut says it probably would do no harm, if you just wanted to use the stuff. BUT I can't see it being a benefit either. Ferrets need meat protein- so a plant based protein wouldn't really add anything to their basic needs. I would also guess it was high in carbohydrates more than anything else, but would have to look at the ingredients to see for sure. I would rather use something like Bob Church's CHicken Gravy or a meat baby food , or the carnivore care to bulk up a ferret who needs extra nutrition.
Ferretone can add vitamins, or I also like adding some nupro to the mix.

At our house, we always get free samples in the mail, usually just
junk. Today we received a sample of Enfamil Soy Infant powder formula,
for human babies that are lactose intolerant. Since we have no human
babies in the house, I wondered if anyone has ever tried mixing a
little tiny bit of this in a ferrets' duk soup? It's full of vitamins,
protein, a bunch of good stuff...and it's non-dairy.
