Mike,
the best way I've found to switch a ferret's diet over is to start
by mixing a small portion of the new food with her regular food
(maybe 1/4 part pretty pets with 3/4 part 8 in 1 to start), then
slowly start mixing in more and more of the new food over the course
of a week or two (first 1/2 and 1/2, then 3/4 to 1/4 old food, etc).

She probably won't even notice, and before you know it she'll be
eating her new food. This has worked every time in my experience,
but *if* she doesn't eat it, then you should give back the 8 in 1
and try the process again, slowly. You don't want a skinny baby!

Best wishes,
~Emily &
the furkids: Summer, Phoebe, Bailey, Lily, and Linus.
