Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: difficulty walking, possible cardio-respiratory problem, possible spinal pro
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My ferret actually did this a few weeks ago. We gave him a one-time
shot of Lasix which acted as a diaretic because he seemed to be more
swollen than anything. We also have been giving Prednisolone which is
oral steroids, and Clavamox for any possible infection. Then for 48
hours I gave him as much water as he would take through a syringe to
flush his system. He did the same thing as you did, one day he was
fine and the next he couldn't walk. He wasn't whimpering though, but
he was shaking and trembling a lot.

Anyway you may want to try the above medications.
