My 19 shelter ferrets get a plate of "chicken gravy" every day. And
they are quick to remind me if I am late with it.

I prssure cook two whole chickens with 4 cups of water in an 8-qt
pressure cooker. I then grind everything, including bones, in my Vita
Mix to a nice creamy gravy. I store it in plastic Rubbermade tubs, I
usually get about 6 of the 5 cup tubs per batch. And go through
about 1 tub a day with my gang.

I used to add the other ingredients (the Bob Church recipe) but it
became too complicated. So I just kept it simple.

If I have a sick one that is only eating the gravy, I will add
supplements at that time. Usually Ferretone.

I am awaiting some probiotics and digestive enzymes to use with my
dog's new raw diet. Does anyone have any experience with using
either of these items with a ferret diet?

I heard that the probiotics were good for dogs that have been on
antibiotics. Would the same hold true for ferrets?

Thanks,
Liz
